Southern Cross International Music Festival

Experience performing at the QLD Conservatorium Griffith University!

It is our mission to provide young fine musicians with an experience that allows an opportunity for musical growth while being a fun and rewarding performance trip. Admission into the festival is based on audition only however, we encourage groups of varying abilities to apply, as music education through live performance can be very beneficial to groups at various stages of development. The Southern Cross International Music Festival will feature an outstanding faculty of instrumental and choral professionals.

Head of the Faculty and Festival is Mr Ralph Hultgren (the Australian Representative for WASBE and mastermind of this festival).

Package Inclusions
- Five (5), Six (6) or Seven (7) nights accommodation at a recommended central Brisbane 3 Star Hotel
- All Breakfasts – At the hotel
- Tour Manager for the duration of your stay in Brisbane. (NB: it is compulsory that all groups have an appointed Experienced Manager).
- Airport Transfers in Brisbane and Meet ‘n’ Greet at Brisbane Airport
- All coaching as required by the Festival and sightseeing activities
- One (1) adjudicated performance at QLD Conservatorium Griffith University
- One (1) outdoor performance at Queen Street Mall or similar
- One (1) 60 minute workshop with a member of the festival faculty
- One (1) 60 minute master class with staff appointed by the head of Pre-Tertiary Studies Queensland Conservatorium
- One (1) school performance exchange with a local Brisbane school
- Festival registration fees
- Access to all Festival events
- Sightseeing activities including a day at a theme park of your choice
- Certificate of participation for each student

Package Exclusions
- Airfare (available through World Projects as a licensed Travel Agent)
- Meals & Dinners can be costed into your custom quote upon request
- Items of a personal nature (laundry, room service, etc.)
- Optional Additional Sightseeing Activities – these can be added to your custom quote

Extensions
Extend your tour to the South Pacific to include the Great Barrier Reef and Australian Rain Forest or New Zealand's fascinating Maori culture.

ADJUDICATION: The festival has an optional adjudication in the concert hall at the Conservatorium of Music.
