Chris is Managing Director of World Projects South Pacific and has been in this position for 6 years. Chris has a music background performing in various international Music Festivals such as the Monterey Jazz Festival (USA), Northsea Jazz Festival (Holland), Edinburgh Jazz Festival (Scotland) and Montreaux Jazz Festival (Switzerland) with fond memories of the positive reactions that a school tour can do for a group.

Prior to World Projects, Chris was an IT Consultant and uses these skills to improve the efficiency of the business and to improve the travel experience for all clients.

An Australian native now based in California, Deborah spent 7 years teaching music in the Sydney school system and over 15 years performing as a classical and jazz flautist around the globe. She now produces high quality educational ‘music festivals and tours’ throughout the USA and internationally for youth ensembles on behalf of World Projects USA. She serves as President of the USA Office situated in San Francisco and provides creative direction to ensembles traveling from the South Pacific.

Matt Cocking is a successful performer, entertainer and educator who remains in demand across the nation and is dedicated to inspiring a smile and fostering confidence through innovative excellence in performance, creating life long memories. Matt has an extensive background in performance, teaching and large events.

As an educator, Matt is a national and international clinician. His charisma, passion for excellence and fun has lead Matt to being an integral member of the artistic teams for large events such as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony, 2001 World University Games Opening Ceremony Beijing – China, the 2003 World Cup Rugby Opening Ceremony, Sydney and most recently the Beijing 2008 Olympic Orchestra and co producer and adviser for the World Expo Music Festival, Shanghai.

Australia - Antony Gullick, Festival Manager

Antony Gullick is our resident Cuban expert. He has had a long and varied career as a music educator and professional musician. Since graduating from the University of New South Wales Antony has worked with countless young musicians as music coordinator at Kirrawee High school and founder of the NSW Schools Jazz Orchestra. He has been awarded the National Excellence in Teaching Award as well as the Premiers Teaching Scholarship for his work in music education.

Antony has led school groups to South Africa, the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, China and Cuba. Highlights of these tours have included performances at the Montreaux, Monterey and North Sea Jazz Festivals, taking the first school group to post-apartheid South Africa and leading the first school bands into Cuba With his extensive knowledge of Cuba and Cuban culture we are very pleased to have Antony as part of the World Projects South Pacific team.

His expertise has allowed us to be the first and only company to take school music groups into this fascinating country.

For the past 12 years, Andrew has worked closely with the team at World Projects South Pacific coordinating ground arrangements and overseeing Tour Management services. With an extensive background in Group Travel and Tour Management, Andrew’s role ensures that those groups travelling with World Projects South Pacific have the support needed on the ground with their Tour Manager, meals and accommodation, transport and sightseeing.
