World Projects South Pacific invites you to participate in the inaugural Malaysia Music Festival in one of the most lively, advanced and vibrant cities in South East Asia – Kuala Lumpur.

This is a unique opportunity to join fellow music students from the Asia Pacific region and participate in an adjudicated performance, a workshop with a Festival clinician and a public performance.

This Music Festival is open to all groups of all types but in particular Wind Bands, Orchestra, Choirs and Jazz Bands. In addition to performances, you will also visit the famous Petronas Twin Towers – the tallest building in the world, as well as the King’s Palace, Merdeka Square, the Batu Caves and Chinatown.

  • Three (3) nights accommodation at a 3 Star Hotel
  • All Breakfasts – Three (3) at the hotel
  • Tour Manager for the duration of your stay in Kuala Lumpur. (NB: it is compulsory that all groups have an Australian International Music Festival appointed tour leader).
  • Airport Transfers in Kuala Lumpur and Meet ‘n’ Greet at Kuala Lumpur Airport
  • All coaching as required by the Festival and sightseeing activities
  • One (1) adjudicated performance for each ensemble at the University of Malaya (TBC)
  • One (1) outdoor performance at the Petronas Towers (or similar)
  • One (1) full ensemble workshops per traveling school with Festival Faculty

AWARDS:The festival jury will award each ensemble Gold, Silver, or Bronze plaques based on the concert performance. A Showcase Award category is offered for groups that do not wish to compete.
